The BeeMail is a service designed to address workplace harassment, bullying, and discrimination. The Wolf and The Bee sends The BeeMail (an email), with a warning, to your offender. An assessment and resolution guide is included, to help them improve their behavior moving forward.
Additionally The BeeMail provides you with documentation that the offending party was notified their behavior was inappropriate, along with a guide for improvement.
The service shifts responsibility from you back to the perpetrator to acknowledge and correct their actions.
When should I send The BeeMail?
The BeeMail is a best used when:
- You want to resolve the issue early, quickly and quietly
- You need to be able to continue working with this person in the future
- You don’t feel comfortable speaking directly to the person at this time
- You would feel comfortable receiving an apology from the recipient
- You don’t want to go to your boss or HR right now
- There is a power imbalance between you and the offending party
- You witnessed inappropriate behavior and want to be an ally without putting either party at risk
How does The BeeMail work?
When you donate $25, you will fill out an easy three question form, including the recipient email, and the time you want The BeeMail sent. And then The Wolf and The Bee takes over.
The BeeMail is scheduled to be delivered on the date and time you specify. The default time is Friday at 4PM ET to provide a weekend buffer.
You will receive the Sender Support Guide that includes documentation templates, a checklist to identify retaliation, a roadmap with options and support tools for next steps, including scripts, conflict resolution, and escalation options.
Twenty-Four hours after The BeeMail has been sent, a delivery report will be sent to you. This includes the day and time The BeeMail was delivered to the recipient’s email, if there were errors, and if The BeeMail was opened.Save this email in your documentation file.
A survey is sent to you three weeks later.
What does The BeeMail say?
The BeeMail is a general but direct message that first, alerts the offending party to the fact they have engaged in conduct that is not appropriate for the workplace.
It also provides a link to a Resolution Guide to coach them through identify and correct their behavior moving forward.

6. Is The BeeMail anonymous?
We prioritizes the privacy of both the sender and recipient of The BeeMail. Your name, and any identifying behaviors that could expose you as the sender, are not used when sending The BeeMail.
We use a general, non-specific, and direct email format to ensure your identity is protected.
7. What resources does The BeeMail provide to the offending party?
The BeeMail offers tools and resources to help the offending party understand their behavior, recognize its impact, and make necessary changes to improve their conduct in the workplace.
8. Is HR informed about BeeMail?
The BeeMail service is designed to address the issue directly with the offending party.
The only time HR is noified is if you, the sender, or recipient of The BeeMail chooses to go to HR.
9. What happens if the person retaliates against me?
A confirmation of delivery report will be sent to you 24 hours after The BeeMail is scheduled. The report confirms The BeeMail was delivered, and if it was was opened. You can use this report as part of your documentation, if you decide to escalate the issue to your HR department.

10. What if I’m not believed?
The BeeMail does not specify the exact behavior, to avoid “She said, He said” disputes and focuses on alerting the offending party to their innappropriate behavior, and guiding them towards correcting future action.

11. What if I’m found out?
The BeeMail is designed to protect your identity.
There is always a chance you could be suspected of sending The BeeMail.

15. Can I send another BeeMails if the behavior continues?
No. You will not be able to send The BeeMail to the same email address more than one time.
What are the risks for sending The BeeMail?
- Anonymity isn’t guaranteed: While The BeeMail does not reference your name or specifics, and only refers to general inappropriate behaviors, your work and company circumstances may reveal that you are the source of The BeeMail.
- Escalation may still be required: We can’t control how the recipient will respond. They may not take the warning and retaliate instead. If this is the case, you may have to consider escalating the problem to your supervisor or HR.
- Retaliation: Retaliation is a risk regardless of whether you do nothing or you do something. Be aware that sending The BeeMail may speed up a reaction.
